Sync time depends heavily on your server environment. Small stores (1–100 products) typically finish in 2–5 minutes. Medium stores (100–1,000 products) usually complete in 10–20 minutes. Large stores (1,000+ products) generally take 20–60 minutes depending on variations. Extra-large catalogs (6,000+ products) can take 1–6 hours depending on server specs. The plugin uses variable batch sizing and automatically adjusts to your environment to avoid timeouts and memory issues.

Existing WooCommerce products are updated, not replaced. Ecwid2Woo first tries to match by Ecwid product ID stored in post meta, then falls back to SKU matching. If no match is found, a new product is created. Products you added manually in WooCommerce without a matching Ecwid ID or SKU are never touched.

The plugin imports product names, descriptions, short descriptions, prices, sale prices, SKUs, weights, dimensions, stock quantities and status, product enabled or disabled status, categories with full hierarchy and images, featured and gallery images, and product variations with their own SKUs, prices, stock levels, and images.

Yes. Ecwid product options and combinations are mapped to WooCommerce variable products with proper attributes, variation pricing, SKUs, stock levels, and variation-specific images. Attribute slugs are automatically handled to stay within WooCommerce limits.

WordPress 5.0+, WooCommerce 3.0+, PHP 7.2+, and MySQL 5.6+ or MariaDB 10.0+. For best results with large catalogs, we recommend WordPress 6.0+, WooCommerce 7.0+, and PHP 8.0+. Adaptive batch processing handles memory and execution time limits automatically, while additional server resources improve large-sync speed.

Yes. Ecwid2Woo is free and open source under the GPL-2.0-or-later license. The full source code is available on GitHub. There are no premium tiers, locked features, or usage limits.

Log in to your Ecwid control panel, open Apps and My Apps, and create a new application or use an existing one. Generate a secret token with read access to Products, Categories, and Store Profile. Missing or incorrect permissions will result in HTTP 403 errors during sync.

Yes. Load your Ecwid products or categories, select the ones you want, and import only those. Category Sync and Product Sync can also run independently, giving you control over which data lands in WooCommerce.

No. Smart Skip Technology compares Ecwid timestamps with local import data and skips unchanged items, typically reducing restart time by 70–90% on large catalogs.
